About Us
We are a University media group in COM 267, Media Writing, who covered a
new venture in Raleigh. While we are not associated with the Color Me Rad 5K,
our group wanted to promote this event specifically in our area. The race took
place October 27, 2012. After seeing the race firsthand and getting to know one of
the directors, we wanted to help increase participation for the coming years.
Color Me Rad
Color Me Rad is a 5k race that started April of 2012. This innovative venture was mastered by people who love to run. The “color” in Color Me Rad, is a bright combination of colored corn starch catapulted at pure white t-shirts. Their main goal is to brighten someones day with a simple run, while supporting a great cause. This race is all about FUN! While there were only 43 locations this year, they plan on increasing it to 100 for the year 2013.
